Most every question about vaccination status will be resolved as you follow the instructions below:
- Parents will create an account on the Safe Travels site, then add the minors.
- When you receive the QR code, give the student just needs a picture of it, they do not have to download an app.
- Parents will complete the online instructions.
From the Safe Travels Coordinator:
To add a minor (travel party member), please see instructions below:
1) Log in to your account at travel.hawaii.gov
2) Go to Profile > Add Travel Party Member > Select Relationship > Submit
3) Go to Trips > Add Airline or Cruise Line Trip > Additional Travel Party Member > Select minor’s name > Submit
4) Go to Apply for Exemption/Exception from Quarantine > Covid Vaccine Exception or Covid NAAT/PCR Test Exception > Follow the prompt to upload the vaccination card/record or test result

One thing that folks might need to complete the Travel.hawaii.gov process….when you select relationship for your child you have to pick “Unaccompanied Minor”. If you don’t you can’t select them for the add a trip section. I had to contact their customer support to figure this one out. Thought you might want to pass it along in case anyone else is stuck like I was.
